LAUREN SPIERER MYSTERY DEEPENS

Bloomington cops found a bag of clothes behind a trash bin at the apartment complex of missing Indiana U student Lauren Spierer.

A security officer discovered the bag of men’s and women’s clothes on the sixth floor. Law enforcement is viewing surveillance footage to see who placed the bag.

Friday marked two weeks since the petite blonde co-ed disappeared after an outing at a local sport bar with pals.

She was last seen in the early hours of the morning walking toward her apartment.  Lauren had left her shoes and cell phone at the bar, The ENQUIRER reported previously.

A seg on last week’s "America’s Most Wanted" generated tips with zero results.

Texas Equusearch, a volunteer group, which assisted in the hunts for both Caylee Anthony and Natalee Holloway, joined the search yesterday.

Bloomington police Capt. Joe Qualters said police received more than 1,000 tips in the past two weeks including 500 tips about a mysterious white truck caught on surveillance video in the vicinity where Lauren was last seen.

"The bottom line is we still have a missing person," Qualters said. "Our efforts to find Lauren will not stop."

Lauren’s father, Robert Spierer said, "Get the courage to come forward to tell us anything you know, no matter how small or insignificant you may think it to be," he said. "Please come forward."

"America's Most Wanted" will again feature Spierer's case on its show Saturday.

Spierer is blonde weighs about 90 pounds and is 4 feet 11 inches tall.

Anyone with information can call 812-339-4477, police said.
